As part of their commitment to unparalleled customer service, Belvedere Maintenance has joined the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). IFMA was founded 35 years ago and has become the world’s largest association for facility managers. The organization currently supports 24,000 members in 105 countries, boasts 134 chapters and 17 councils.
Through IFMA, Belvedere Maintenance will enjoy a greater level of facility management development thanks to training courses and networking with other professionals. They will stay on top of the latest advice, products and techniques used in the industry. A couple of these networking opportunities are seen in IFMA’s two major conferences: World Workplace and Facility Fusion. However, Belvedere Maintenance does not need to wait for these conferences to enjoy the benefits of IFMA. Learning resources such as white papers, the IFMA FM Knowledge Center, FM Library and how-to guides are available year round.
The networking opportunities give members the chance to learn different ways of doing things. Belvedere Maintenance knows how important this is since learning from others leads to the creation and use of products like Aegis® technology, which they use to keep client’s work surfaces sterile and bacteria resistant.
IFMA also helps members with conflict resolution and provides support services. The organization is strong in the social media, providing yet another way for the members to connect, build networks and stay engaged in the community.
As Belvedere Maintenance knows the importance of continuous learning, networking, staying on top of products and developments in the industry and connecting with likeminded professionals, the decision to join the worldwide organization was an easy one – especially since IFMA provides the convenience of industry-specific councils (religious facilities, IT, environmental health and safety, banking facilities, corporate real estate, manufacturing/industrial & logistics, consulates, academic facilities, city & country clubs, food service and research centres are just some of the many councils).
The councils are important because different facilities have different needs. For example, Belvedere Maintenance offers CleanLABS, a specialized service to ensure lab and server room specifics are explicitly followed. Labs contain delicate equipment, confidential information and at times, dangerous products. Belvedere Maintenance has the technology, experience and training to clean and sterilize lab facilities safety and effectively. In fact, the company can guarantee a pathogen-free environment with no disruption of equipment or information.
As you can see, only properly trained maintenance personnel can clean lab facilities, so the networking opportunities in that circle can be very small. With IFMA, however, Belvedere Maintenance has direct access to a great pool of people, products and resources in the lab cleaning sector and since this is just one of the services the cleaning company offers, Belvedere will benefit from speaking with other councils as well.
Belvedere Maintenance couldn’t be happier about their decision to enhance their services by joining IFMA and they invite you to experience the Belvedere difference for yourself. Whether you have a small office, a corporate complex, or a lab. Belvedere has services to keep your workplace clean, sterile and productive.
